I have a need for a few things:

  1. be on-site at my company one day a week (RussianHill in SF) to do training, review & updates.
  2. do some regularly-occurring admin tasks likelead lists checking, deduping and importing based on our criteria (or to createa better way to do it).
  3. help strategize on how to de-dupe our databasewhile retaining the intent and content of the original data
  4. help deliver some sophisticated, conditional reportingthat helps our sales team and organization make better use of SFDC.
  5. Provide on-going support probably of a part-time nature as we develop the relationship going forward.
I am looking for someone with very good communication skills, both written and verbal, someone with experience working within an organization and helping all levels of users, and someone who can creatively solve some challenging problems.

Point #1 is non-negotiable, for therecord.  I need someone to provide someface-time here.  If you can do thesethings, please provide me with applicable hourly rates.  If you cannot be on-site, please consider not replying.

We use salesforce and are pleased with it. However, we are bringing on sales people who use freecrm and I wish to build an automated system to automatically populate freecrm with the lead data we collect in salesforce so we can use both systems at the same time. We take advantage of the salesforce web to lead forms as well as google adwords integration. Please let me know your solution to this and how much you would charge.

We are part-way through an exciting programme to deliver enhancements to our customers experience of working with our organisation.

Part of this programme is to build a portal that will be used by our customer community to get access to information about our products and services, engaged with us and other customers and to access our customer support facility.

We are deploying Salesforce Customer Portal and Self-Service Portal to provide customers with access to Salesforce Cases (for support), Salesforce Solutions (for self service knowledge base) and Salesforce Ideas (for engagement).

We are looking for an individual to join the programme team and to work with a junior Salesforce administrator to help design, build and implement these modules. As a result we are looking for indiviuals with the following skill-set:

Essential

• Workflow configuration (including Objects, Assets, Custom fields)

• Cases

• Solutions

• Ideas

• Customer Portal

• Self-Service Portal

Desirable

• Visualforce

• S-Controls

• Integration with other systems eg Atlantic Global, Sharepoint, Google Mini

At this stage we are looking for a contractor to join the UK based team ASAP for an 8 week period in order to complete the build phase by the end of March 2009.

If you are interested please contact me so that we can discuss in more detail.

Hi,

We have an urgent need for a project component. We need to export donations entered in Salesforce.com and import these entries into QuickBooks 2008 as deposits.

We are looking for a consultant who can take this data and write code to convert this data to an import file for QuickBooks (required). We believe this will be in IIF format, likely need to write custom code to create this file directly from within Salesforce.com.

Do you know how to do this? Or, do you have any recommendations?

Udi

Good Afternoon,

I am attempting to write an after update trigger that sets the Account status to Active when the Contract is activated.  I am new to Apex triggers.

I tried the following, which does not produce a run-time error, but does not change the value of the field:

trigger setAcctActive on Contract (after update) {

 if (Trigger.isUpdate) {

  for (Contract contract : Trigger.new) {

   if ( contract.Status == 'Activated' ) {

    Account contractAcct = contract.Account;
    contractAcct.AccountStatus__c = 'Active';

   }

  }

 }

}

It seems I need to add a commit or something to the code to put the new field value into the database?

Any help?

I'm writing my first Apex trigger and am running into an error which I am sure is simple to resolve but I can't seem to figure out.

Problem: I need to update a field (checkbox) on a parent (Account) record called PFlg when the child's Contract record field, CFlg, is checked.
My Solution: Since workflow field update doesn't allow multiple objects, I thought to use an Apex trigger.

trigger Flag on Contract (after update) {

sObject c = new Contract();
Contract d = (Contract)c;

if (trigger.new.CFlg__c.equals(TRUE) )

 {
   sObject s = new Account();
   Account f = (Account)s;
   f.PFlg__c = TRUE;

   }

}

This results in an error:

Error: Compile Error: Initial term of field expression must be a concrete SObject: LIST:SOBJECT:Contract at line 6 column 5
<SCRIPT type=text/javascript>function initSelectionInEditor() { setSelectionInEditor('Body', 118, 118) }setContentWindow(window);initSelectionInEditor();</SCRIPT>

Then I changed it to:
trigger UpdateDocExpressFlag on Contract (after update) {

sObject c = new Contract();
Contract d = (Contract)c;

for (Contract ddd:Trigger.new)
{

if (ddd.CFlg__c(TRUE) )

 {
   sObject s = new Account();
   Account f = (Account)s;
   f.PFlg__c = TRUE;
   }
}
}

which resulted in the following error:
Compile Error: Method does not exist or incorrect signature: [SOBJECT:Contract].CFlg__c(Boolean) at line 8 column 5

Any thoughts as to what I'm missing?
