Bypassing the https://na1.salesforce.com/
Our application uses links containing https://na1.salesforce.com/ to redirect to salesforce pages displaying accounts, contacts, etc.
Is there a way to bypass and avoid hardcoding this part of the url (i.e. use a relative path). This is an issue that resurfaces whenever SalesForce moves our instance to a different server.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Ronen.

Session variables don't persist under SSL
I have a custom url tab which runs an SSL application. However, for whatever reason, the session variables used in that application don't persist across the different pages.
Moreover, if I run the same custom tab without the https:// on a different non-SSL server, the session variables DO persist. Anyone encountered this problem??
Thanks in advance.

Has anyone tried adding picklist values via SforceService?
I am trying to update a salesforce custom field which happens to be a single select picklist. Is there any api calls for adding or updating the entries of the picklist?
Thanks!
