Hi everyone,

I’m working on the Advanced Apex Superbadge and noticed that it seems like I need to create a new Developer Org for almost every unit. Is this expected? Or is there a way to import or install something to avoid creating multiple orgs? It’s getting a bit difficult to keep track of them all.

Also, in some cases I’m not receiving the confirmation email when I sign up for a new org. Not sure whether I should wait or try to subscribe again.... Any ideas on that?

Thanks!

    Hello @Olga Maksimova sometimes indeed we need to provision several playgrounds / dev editions. Sometimes indeed the provision validation email gets lost. In this case, do not hesitate to provision a new one. Eric

Hi

I'm importing a small file to a custom object. There is an expiry date which maps to a date-time field, and the expiry time should be 11.59pm.

Our org is set to GMT+10 and my user is set to GMT+10. I have set the expiry date time to 13:59 to account for the 10 hour offset. Sometimes this imports as 11:59pm and sometimes as 10.59pm. There doesn't seem to be any consistency as to which it imports as. I've tried using the Data Import Wizard and

Dataloader.io

and get the same inconsistent results.

Sample format: 2028-07-12T13:59:00Z

Does anyone have any ideas on other things to check?

Thanks

    Hi @Mohammad Ahetesham - I tried that. I imported 5 rows, 4 had the correct time, the 5th was incorrect. I then adjusted and tested a small batch again. I've tried 8 different files now, up to 15 rows at a time, to try and see a pattern but can't.

Hi,

Marketing currently use source codes to track the traffic channels e.g. "Email"

I want to focus on the emails we send to our paid members.

I want to use source codes to add the "paid members" we're communicating to via email to a customer group to show them a personalised homepage.

E.g. when they email "Paid Members", I want to add a source code for "Email - Paid Members".

Will this mess up my co-workers tracking of "email" - as ideally I don't want them to change their way of working.

Is it possible for the user to be in 2 source codes - e.g. "Email" and "Email - Paid Members".

Many thanks,

    Hey @Karen Hitt

    , a session can only have one active source code group so if you wanted a different experience for paid member emails and non paid member emails that can only be distinguished by two different source code groups, you will have two groups tracked vs the current one. I would recommend speaking to the Marketing team and coming to an agreement about naming criteria (e.g email as a prefix) so you can fully use source codes for their intended purpose (creating different on site experience) and Marketing can still do the reporting they need.

    Alternatively, for this specific use case, if you don't can identify a Paid Member when the visitor is on the site (i.e. they log in or use 'remember me' functionality) you could create a customer group based on the presence of the email source code

    and the profile attribute identifying them as paid members coming from email to target your content.

Hi All,

when Data load from Talend is used with Bulk Data Load Job or directly feeding the data as Insert/Update, data load time consumption is more compare to Data Load from Data Loader or Workbench for same set of data records in any object.

can anyone have prior knowledge/experience to optimize and increase this performance such that this time will be reduced? it will be good help to Business As Usual Process.

    Hi @Rohit Shah

    In Salesforce, we

    cannot schedule a batch job every 15 minutes using one cron expression, because the minimum allowed interval is 1 hour.

    But there’s a simple workaround — you can schedule the same batch job 4 times with different cron timings like this:

    apexCopyEditSystem.schedule('Job1', '0 0 * * * ?', new MyBatchClass()); // Runs at 00 mins

    System.schedule('Job2', '0 15 * * * ?', new MyBatchClass()); // Runs at 15 mins

    System.schedule('Job3', '0 30 * * * ?', new MyBatchClass()); // Runs at 30 mins

    System.schedule('Job4', '0 45 * * * ?', new MyBatchClass()); // Runs at 45 mins

    This way, your batch job will run every 15 minutes. Let me know if you need help with the code or anything else!

    Hello @Jack Jack

    Since OWD is set to Public Read Only, users can see all records. To restrict KTP Profile  from viewing Prospect records type accounts without changing OWD, try these steps-

    1. Create a Criteria-Based Sharing Rule-

    Go to Setup-Sharing Settings.

    Find Account Sharing Rules- Click.

    Set criteria: Records Type=Prospect.

    Choose "Share with: Specific Profile"-Exclude KTP Profile.

    2. Use Permission Sets or Profile Restrictions-

    Go to Setup-Profiles-Select  KTP Profile.

    Under Object Settings, remove Read Access for the prospect records type using Record Type Assignment.

    3. Leverage Apex Sharing Rules -If standard sharing rules don't work, use Apex Sharing to dynamically restrict access.

I have tried deactivating an approval process several times in one of my playgrounds while doing the "Build a Discount Approval Process" Trail, but it just won't get deactivated. Please advise on what I can do to fix the issue. Thanks.

Hello All

I recieved an email to either move my SF exam to a date before 25 July (which I cannot do) or cancel.  I looked at some of the questions on here and it mentions a voucher you can use for the new system.  However, I do not get a voucher option at all.  Only that the money will be charged back to my account.   I no longer have the credit card I used originally to book this.  How will I get the refund or can I request to get a voucher instead.?
