I created a checkbox field and added it to the compact layout as I want it to display in the highlight panel. However, it's not showing. Is it not possible to display checkbox fields in the highlight panel? Any insights?

We’re currently in the early stages of our Salesforce journey and are still in the implementation phase. As part of our discovery, we're particularly interested in how we can best integrate WhatsApp into our Salesforce environment—both for automated messaging and to support day-to-day customer conversations.

We do have WhatsApp messaging included to some extent with our Marketing Cloud plan, but we’re trying to better understand:

  • What’s the most effective way to automate WhatsApp communications (e.g., for reminders, onboarding messages, lead engagement)?
  • Is it realistically feasible to conduct and manage regular, human WhatsApp conversations from within Salesforce, without switching between platforms?
  • Has anyone had experience using Tuvis or any other third-party providers that support this type of integration?

We’d really appreciate any insights, recommendations, or lessons learned—especially from those of you who have already navigated this path. Our goal is to create a seamless and efficient experience for both our team and our customers.

Thankyou in advance!

We currently have a sharing rule in place on a custom object, that shares records with all users in a public group. However its been decided that there is a record type that we would like to restrict these users from viewing. We also have a restriction rule set up and activated, but that has not solved our issue. We may have configured the restriction rule incorrectly but I wanted to ask the community if there was another way to solve this?

Thank you in advance.

No it is not. Do you recommend creating a new rule and deactivating the old rule?

@Adarsh Kathriya ensure you de-activate validation rules part of account object and re-try the challenge

Hey @Elise Clorennec, then either try with another email or if it's the same email then add '+test' before @ symbol.

    Example: if the email is

ajay@email.com then use the email as ajay+test@email.com

I was in the process of creating a service agent last week when I recieved an error. I deleted the original one I created and tried to start all over again. But when I was almost done it keep saying my API address was being used on a different agent. How can I make sure I can start fresh? I believe i gave it enough time to get timed out but I don't want to start the process just to get the same error message. Please advise.

    Hi @Gloria Perez

It sounds like the API address might still be cached or associated with the previous agent setup. You can try the following steps:

    • Clear browser cache and restart the session
    • Check if the API address is still linked to any metadata or configuration
    • Try assigning a new, unused API name
    • If you're using a Trailhead playground, consider spinning up a new one for a clean start

Sometimes the system takes a bit longer to release the resources, so giving it more time or using a different environment may help.

Hi All,

I am new to this group and still learning about Salesforce Mobile.

I have a question about the New action button on the home page of an object.  Is there a way to hide/replace this on Salesforce Mobile?

I am currently working for a client who on the desktop, have replaced the OOB 'New' action button with a customised version on one object and have hidden it on another.  They are very keen to roll-out the mobile app to their staff, however my worry is that at the moment I can't seem to find a way to replace or hide the button, which means that individuals could potentially (and someone at some point will), use the OOB instead of the custom version.

I am sure someone must have come across this - I would be grateful for suggestions.

Many thanks

Natalie
