Someone else had this problem? Challenge not yet complete in Wise Unicorn Playground

We can’t find the correct object permissions for account in the ‘Sales User’ permission set group.

Also,

  • Assign the permission set group to the user you created in the previous unit. How do I do this? what user is it meant? when i do manage assignments and try to assigb to sales user it says that the user doesnt have a license for it?

This was the challenge:

Configure Object, Field, and Record Access

As part of your data access configuration, you must give your sales reps access to accounts. You plan to reuse the same permission set for users who’ll need greater access to accounts, so you’ll mute certain permissions for your sales reps using a permission set group.

You also need to configure your organization-wide defaults for accounts and opportunities so users only see the records they need to.

  • Create a permission set:
    • Label: Account Access
    • API Name: Account_Access
    • Add a description (We won’t check for this.)
    • License: -None-
    • Enable Account Object Permissions: Read, Create, Edit, Delete, View All Records, and Modify All Records
    • Enable Account Field Permissions: Read Access and Edit Access for all fields
  • Create a permission set group and assign it to the user you created:
    • Label: Sales User
    • API Name: Sales_User
    • Include the Account Access permission set that you created
    • Create a muting permission set in the permission set group and name it Sales User Muted (API Name: Sales_User_Muted)
    • Mute Account Object Permissions: Delete, View All Records, and Modify All Records
    • Mute Account Field Permissions: Edit Access for the Annual Revenue and Customer Priority fields
    • Assign the permission set group to the user you created in the previous unit
  • Configure organization-wide defaults:
    • Account and Contract: Visible but not editable for all users.
    • Opportunity: Visible only to record owners and users higher in the role hierarchy.

Setting Opportunity to Private and making account & contract as Public read worked for me.

Under the flow: Create Check-in Guest Even

  1. Click the Unified Link 1 element, then click Edit Element.
  2. For Data Source, choose Data Cloud Object.
  3. For Data Space, choose default.
  4. For Object, choose Unified Link Individual ccid.  Be sure to choose the right object, there are a few that have similar names.

  1. In the Filter Records section, for Field, choose SourceRecordId__c. NOT available please help  This is the actual name of the Source ID column in the first table.

Today, I tried logging in to Trailhead using Chrome as I always do, but I received the following error:

This site can’t be reached

"ERR_HTTP2_INADEQUATE_TRANSPORT_SECURITY"

To troubleshoot, I cleared my browser cookies and cache, and then tried again — but the issue persisted. I also updated Chrome to the latest version, yet the same error message still appears.

Could you please help me understand why this is happening and how to fix it?

For now, I have logged in from a different browser to ask this question and move on with my task.

Try using Incognito Mode, sometimes corrupted cookies cause this and ensure your browser is up to date.

Hi everyone,

I’m working with Person Accounts and Organization Accounts in Salesforce for a nonprofit use case. When I import course data related to Person Accounts, Salesforce is currently creating the Person Account and automatically assigning them as a member of the associated Organization Account.

However, I’d like these individuals to be created with an affiliation only, not as members of the organization.

Has anyone configured their import process to prevent automatic membership assignment and instead just create an affiliation? Any guidance or best practices would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Grace

I am grabbing a Date/Time field from a mobile screen flow and want to use the Date from that Date/Time. Is it possible in any way to extract that from the field?

Or is it possible to add/subtract hours from a Date/Time field?

I know there are some limitations but there are also sometimes creative workarounds.

Thanks.

Unfortunately the DATEVALUE formula throws an error in a Field Service Mobile Flow. I'm hoping to find a way to get around that missing formula.

We have an Einstein Bot that makes request to an API (via Apex Action) and based on the response it sends a message to the customer. Our Dialog executes the Apex action, then uses a Message action to send the response as a message and then continues to rerun this Dialog (by using Redirect to Dialog) if we have more messages to process.

The problem is that if we have multiples messages to send to the customer, the bot will wait until it finishes all the Apex calls and process all the messages before it send them all at the same time to the customer.

Is this by design? Is there a way to send the messages right away when the bot receives them from Apex instead of waiting for the end of all the calls to the Dialog?

Sorry for the vagueness there, and this might be tedious, but redirecting the action to a separate dialog and then back to continue to run the apex action is what I mean by that 'pause.' It helps reset the dialog you're using to call out the apex and send the current message. Happy to walk through this more w/ you.

Ok, I have a general question about Lookup fields and their search results.  Currently on an object called Employments, I have a lookup field to the Account Object.  When I start typing in the Account Name, I want the secondary field to be the Billing Street of the Account, since we do have multiple accounts that have the same name, (think McDonalds), so I want to show the Account Name and the Billing Street.  On the search layout the Billing Street is the 2nd field, however, the Billing Street will not show up in the lookup value, it shows the Billing City, which is the 3rd field on the search results.  Is it because the billing street field is a long text value?

See below screen shots.

Hi, everyone! I wanted to ask how you are tracking the following:

Scenario:

A donor pledges a $60,000 gift to be paid over 5 years. (Currently, we are tracking this as an Opportunity -- not as a Recurring Donation -- with a custom record type of "Pledge" and stage of "Closed Won."  Then 5 Payment records are created to track over 5 years.)

Donor paid the first two $12,000 installments as planned, but then was unable to pay the remaining 3 payments. The remaining payment records are checked "Written Off" but

how do you track the accurate (hard credit) amount of the gift for the Donor, because the original pledge Opportunity now shows an amount of $60,000, but the total payment amount received ONLY = $24,000?

Any tips are much appreciated. Thank you! :)

To accurately track the amount of the gift in Salesforce when a donor is unable to fulfill the entire pledge, you can follow these steps to adjust the original Opportunity and reflect the actual amount received. Here’s a detailed approach:

Step 1: Adjust the Original Opportunity

    1.

    Clone the Original Opportunity

    - Clone the original Opportunity to create a new record that will represent the written-off amount.

    - Set the amount of the cloned Opportunity to the written-off amount ($36,000 in this case).

    - Set the stage of the cloned Opportunity to a custom stage like "Written Off" or "Cancelled".

    2.

    Adjust the Original Opportunity Amount

    - Update the amount of the original Opportunity to reflect the actual amount received ($24,000).

    - Ensure the stage remains "Closed Won" to indicate that the received amount is finalized.

Step 2: Track Payments and Write-Offs

    1.

    Update Payment Records

    - Ensure that the payment records for the first two installments are marked as "Paid" or "Completed".

    - For the remaining three payment records, mark them as "Written Off" or "Cancelled".

    2.

Create a Custom Field for Total Received Amount

    - Create a custom field on the Opportunity object to track the total amount received.

    - Use a roll-up summary field or a custom formula to calculate the total amount received from the related payment records.

    Step 3: Reporting and Dashboards

    1.

Create a Report for Pledges and Payments

    - Create a custom report type that includes Opportunities and related Payment records.

    - Use this report to track the total pledged amount, total received amount, and total written-off amount.

    2.

    Create a Dashboard

    - Create a dashboard to visualize the data from the report.

    - Include components that show the total pledged amount, total received amount, and total written-off amount.

    Example: Adjusting the Original Opportunity

    1.

    Clone the Original Opportunity

    - Navigate to the original Opportunity.

    - Click the "Clone" button.

    - Set the amount to $36,000 (the written-off amount).

    - Set the stage to "Written Off" or "Cancelled".

    - Save the cloned Opportunity.

    2.

    Adjust the Original Opportunity Amount

    - Navigate to the original Opportunity.

    - Edit the Opportunity.

    - Change the amount to $24,000 (the amount actually received).

    - Save the changes.

Example: Creating a Custom Field for Total Received Amount

    1.

    Create a Custom Field

    - Go to Setup.

    - In the Quick Find box, type "Object Manager".

    - Select "Opportunity".

    - Click on "Fields & Relationships".

    - Click "New" to create a new custom field.

    - Choose "Currency" as the field type.

    - Name the field "Total Received Amount".

    - Save the field.

    2.

    Create a Roll-Up Summary Field

    - If you have a custom object for Payment records, create a roll-up summary field on the Opportunity object.

    - Go to "Fields & Relationships" on the Opportunity object.

    - Click "New" to create a new roll-up summary field.

    - Name the field "Total Received Amount".

    - Select the Payment object as the related object.

    - Choose "SUM" as the roll-up type and select the amount field from the Payment object.

    - Save the field.

    Example: Creating a Report

    1.

    Create a Custom Report Type

    - Go to Setup.

    - In the Quick Find box, type "Report Types".

    - Click "New Custom Report Type".

    - Select "Opportunities" as the primary object.

    - Add "Payments" as the related object.

    - Save the report type.

    2.

    Create a Report

    - Go to the Reports tab.

    - Click "New Report".

    - Select the custom report type you just created.

    - Add fields for Opportunity Amount, Total Received Amount, and Payment Status.

    - Add filters to show only relevant records.

    - Save and run the report.

By following these steps, you can accurately track the amount of the gift, including the received and written-off amounts, ensuring that your records reflect the true financial situation. I

If I paste text with Slack formatting, such as

*Hello World*

I only get

*Hello World*

I do not get

Hello World

The use case is pasted output from Microsoft Co-pilot into Slack.

Is there a setting I can change such that when text like *Hello World* is pasted into Slack it will render?

Thanks.

    Thank you!

Is there a way to get Slack to do this automatically?

I paste a lot of output from Copilot into Slack.

Having the two work together more to have formatted Copilot output would rock.

    Happy Monday

    Thanks again.
