Hello all,    We currently utilize Dataloader.io to load information from Qlik (our source of truth) with daily jobs for items such as Accounts, Contacts, Orders, Opportunities, product SKU's, etc.    For our Contact loads, we receive thousands of errors stating there are duplicates. I'm wondering if anyone mass merges Contacts and if so how? I know SFDC only has 3 that can be merged out of the box, but we have thousands. (Our data is a mess...which was this way prior to my tenure here)     I know of a few on app exchange but are all paid apps and our management holds the purse strings pretty tight.    Thanks in advance!  Tonya

I am creating an event instance for an event coming up in July. When I click "Registration Link" it pulls up the event registration page. The required information is there plus the additional questions. There is also a blue "Next" button. When the information is filled out and the "Next" button is clicked, the page refreshes with empty fields. No information is saved. I am afraid I messed something up in the set-up phase, but I have retraced my steps several times. Has anyone else come across this problem?

    @Brittany Fitz, I forgot about that one! That issue has surface a few times now with other users. I totally respect streamlining picklists, but as you ran into Started and Registered statuses are fundamental to the code side of SEA. So glad you figured it out!

Hi everyone! 

 

I'm building an autolaunched approval orchestration no trigger flow because we're looking to migrate from standard approval process to this new feature. However, I'm logging in as a sales user and I'm not being able to see the approval trace and work items (lightning page components added), I want them to have access to it because I want them to recall the opps in case they need it, however I do not want to give a permission set that includes "manage"flow orchestration because I want to keep that just for admins. Do you know how can i do it? How can I give them access to see it or where they can recall it? Thank you!

    You can create a permission set for the Sales users that has Read to the Approval Submission object, that should give them visibility and the Approval Trace should show up.  Also a tricky one you may already have granted is to give the user the Run Flows permission if they don't already have it.  Hope that helps.

I am looking to show on the Campaign Member object, whether the person is a converted Lead. But my cross object formula is not showing the correct data. Anyone have any ideas why?

IF( !ISBLANK( LeadId ),

Lead.IsConverted ,

FALSE)

 

I am expecting the see 'David Burleigh' record show 'true'. See SOQL result below:

I also tried it with a formula field on the lead object and referencing that in my instead, but get the same result.

We have a few "Critical" issues when looking at the Optimzer in Account Engagement, but after reading documentation, I'm still unsure how we are meant to resolve the issues.

 

  1. Internal domain used as Bot Like prospect's email | You have 1 or more prospects who use your domain. Review your bot-like prospects and delete those internal prospects and learn more in Salesforce Help.
    • We use internal prospects to send internal emails. We also have Salesforce Contact records for employees that we need for various reasons, so we don't necessarily want to delete internal prospect, is there anything else we can do?
    • What is the true impact of ignoring this?
  2. Prospects with bot like behavior | Critical | All Feature Areas | You have # prospects with unusually high activity levels. To avoid an interruption to activity tracking, review these prospect to help diagnose the problem. Learn More in Help
    • Once again, it is unclear to me what needs to be done. Do I need to recycle the prospect, somehow permanently delete the prospect, what if I want to keep the prospect?
    • The linked article says that you can delete activity, but it seems like this requires the Prospect to be 'paused' and that doesn't seem to be the case with the Prospects in the Optimizer list.

 We’ve purchased Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement – Growth and are currently in the process of setting up the initial configuration. Could anyone please clarify the best approach for integrating Marketing Cloud Account Engagement with Marketing Cloud Growth? Specifically: Do we need to set up both platforms separately before integration? Or is it sufficient to set up only one of them for the integration to work? Any guidance or documentation you can provide to help streamline the setup would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi! 

    You bought Pardot (Growth edition), and not Marketing Cloud on Core (Growth edition) if I understand correctly.  

    So I'd go with the setup of Pardot and learn how to use it. 

    Then, if you install or have already installed Data Cloud, you may setup Marketing Cloud on Core (Growth edition) but i'd do this in a second step, to understand the new concepts. To use Marketing Cloud on Core (Growth edition) you need dedicated credits, which the provisioning provides. 

    If you had bought Marketing Cloud on Core (Growth edition) directly, then you would just have set it up and use it instead of Pardot.

Hi Members, 

My Client uses the NPSP , we are getting the email saying we could not enable ICU locale in our org as our org uses an older version app Exchange apps. We connected with the Salesforce support, they asked us to reach the app support members to upgrade their versions, as Salesforce cannot help with that. 

I need your guidance on a few things, 

1. What happens if we uninstall those app exchange applications, if my clients identify that they are not using them? 

2. What happens to the data if there are few records stored in the system? 

3. What are the issues my clients might come across if this is not enabled?

    Excelente que ya hayas completado las rutas de administrador. Antes de enfocarte directamente en CPQ, es importante tener un buen entendimiento de Sales Cloud, ya que CPQ se integra estrechamente con los procesos de ventas.

     

    Si ya tienes la certificación de Administrador, te recomiendo seguir este orden:

     

    1. Sales Cloud Consultant – Esto te dará una visión completa de los procesos comerciales y de ventas - https://trailhead.salesforce.com/en/credentials/salescloudconsultant

We've got a flow where we're creating record that has a lookup field on it.  

To allow the users to choice which option to add to the lookup field, within the flow we have a 'Get Records' to get the names of records from the object the look up field links too. Then we use those names to be in a pick list for users to choice from.  

The number of records on the object may change over time so we need to get them & not have fixed list & coz we're populating lookup its getting the id not just the name (hope I'm making this clear). 

 

Problem is that these record names contain special characters as the represent groups of Ages.  

So one of the records is called: Age (<18, >18) 

Which then the flow displays as: Age (18) 

which isn't the same as far as user reading it would see it  

and  I understand that this is because it includes special characters used in HTML. 

so I'm wondering if there is any way in the flow to make sure flow reads it as text string and not HTML 

 

we thought about just changing the name of the record to actual words: Age (under 18, 18 and over) but we have lots of existing records already linked to the record via the look up and this is causing issues while testing so wanted to see if flow could actually manage the special characters instead rather than break all existing records.
