    Hello @Una Egan

The 'Manage CRM Analytics Subscription' permission you specific to CRM Analytics and likely won't apply to standard report subscription, which could explain why it's blocked due to license restrictions. Follow the steps below for that-

    1. Check the manager has 'View All Data' or 'View Setup and Configuration' permission as they are needed to see subscription details in Setup>Scheduled Jobs.

    2. Confirm the manager's license support for report management. Some licenses limit access to subscription visibility.

3 .Go to Setup>Scheduled Jobs. If the manager can't see this, the issue is likely a permission or license mismatch.

    4. Create a permission set with 'Scheduled Report 'and 'View' Setup and 'Configuration'Thenn assign it to the manager.

Hi Expert,

We have a requirement to set up the In-Kind Gift process in Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud (NPC). While going through the documentation, I noticed the following steps:

  1. First, create a Gift Commitment.
  2. Then, create a non-recurring Commitment Schedule under it.
  3. Within that schedule, create a Gift Transaction with the status set to Unpaid.
  4. Once the gift is received, update the Gift Transaction status to Paid and set the Payment Method as In-Kind.

Could you please confirm if this process is correct for recording In-Kind Gifts in Salesforce NPC?

Also, I have a few questions:

  • Is it mandatory to create a Gift Commitment for In-Kind Gifts?
  • Can we directly create a Gift Transaction, add custom fields for In-Kind Gift details, set the Payment Method as In-Kind, and mark the status as Paid?
  • Is it acceptable to only create a Gift Commitment without a schedule and transaction, just for tracking the In-Kind Gift?

Please help me understand the best practice for capturing In-Kind Gifts in NPC.

    HI @Lulamile Nkungu

We assume this issue needs further review and we may need access to your playground. We will reach out to you via email to investigate further.

    Thank you!

We have been asked to enable Restrict Customers and Partners from Accessing APIs

and we are having some trouble finding a way to verify the setting is working.  Our client is requireing proof. We have tried to use postman but have had little luck.  Unfortunately, this is an area we not well versed in.

    @Mike Camp

you can try creating a test partner user and associated login credentials.. then may be login as that test partner user to see if you can access any api?

i know its tough to test this usecase, but wondering if a test partner credentials works

In the Process Builder there is an "Is changed" operator and a "Was set" operator. What is the difference between both of them? Anyone has examples on when to use one or the other?

All I see in the Process Builder documentation is a short note saying that "Was set" will always be true, which is confusing.

Thanks!

WAS SET is great for flows when a record is created.

ISCHANGED is great for flows when a record is updated.

    For example:

Decision element to execute some outcome when Case.Type WAS SET = true and Case.Type = 'Your Case Type'

This is helpful on creation because Type is being set for the first time (from null to not null), while ISCHANGED assumes a non null value was already present and causes issues when used on record is updated flows.

Good morning, the "Send Invitation" button is grayed out in VRA. I've reviewed the settings thoroughly and read several articles like this one "https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=000395645&type=1" and I can't seem to resolve it. Thank you very much.

    Hi @Raquel Soriano Alvarez

Thanks for your question and you indeed looked at the first relevant article.

I'm sorry it didn't help enough, so at this point, the best next step is indeed to raise a support ticket with Salesforce. Please provide the OrgID and all other contextual VRA config information to help the SF support team get to the bottom of this.

Usually, this issue reflects a failure in the SSO authentication with the backend. Please also indicate if this is the first time you've installed VRA and the button was never enabled, or if it's something that suddenly started happening, whether all users are affected or just one/a few.

    Good luck,

    Aviv

Module - Create a Data Stream in Data Cloud

Step -

Add and Map a Formula Field

Error -

Step not yet complete in Data Cloud

We didn’t find the proper mapping of the Lead object to the Data Model Object.

I am not the only one facing the issue. There are many questions posted in the forum which are unresolved.

I have checked the field mapping as per the steps and it is fine.

I have checked the data stream sync status and it is working as expected.

All three are succeeding fine. PFA the screenshot.

Add and Map a Formula Field failing for multiple users for days

More time was wasted trying to debug this, than was spent understanding and completing the module.

    @James White

Based on all the responses and the case I raised, I don't see it getting resolved till Monday atleast.

So even once it is fixed, we will have to create a new playground and do everything from scratch.

Until they give a go-ahead, no matter how many times we try, we will remain stuck.

Also, I don't think this is a Data cloud sync issue based on what I've seen.

It seems more of an issue on the specific challenge test.

(The code checking if the steps were performed. It is giving incorrect outcome.)
